Quadrum creative use of disused materials for a new Hotel

Nested in and around the snowy Caucasus mountains upper Gudauri Georgia is a truely unique station.  Quadrum spa and yoga’ s difference stem from the materials and style of construction, with general structure like an unfinished pyramid. Quadrum is constructed from repurposed shipping containers, stacked and balanced with stilts at the bottom – for support.

The idea was inspired by the mountains that resemble a triangle, consisting of shipping containers, the hotel “Quadrum” is shaped like a pyramid, the architects behind the unique “motel” had said.

Sandro Ramishvili and Irakli Eristavi  allowed a minimalist style thought design and latter execution, the building repeats the local terrain, replicating the surrounding mountains with gentle slopes cascading down the mountainside.

 

The theme behind the Quadrum project is green. the environment from the harmful effects of work and leisure. While building the hotel not only has the landscape been untouched, but the materials used to build it were environmentally friendly and of local , the official photo angency copter.ge said.

‘Built in a minimalist style, the hotel seems to repeat the local terrain, cascading down the mountainside. The philosophy behind the project was to safeguard the environment from the harmful effects of work and leisure.

 

 

 

The building offers  stunning panoramic views of the surrounding areas, with sereval single rooms, for the lone traveller, as well as family and deluxe suites, plus a swimming pool and a sauna.
