,What you should probably know about @Ausquerry

. What’s this profile all about?
It’s first of a co-op account.  Where we share contents from us and those sent to us by followers. it’s all about inspiring the world to visit Australia and partake in our rich culture. The account is  jointly managed  by the media team at Ausquerry.  and  by  followers like you.

What is Ausquerry and how did the name come about?
It’s no magic trust us. Aussies are curious lots. And like everyone else, we like to know about stuffs. Ausquerry is designed to help with such curiosity, around digital contents, designs, arts projects, architecture  and Travel . It is an Amalgam of two word  Australian, and Query.

Does the kangaroo actually manage this account?
No, don’t be silly. We’re actually real people. Plus, “The Roo”  is an animal symbol of Australia and we are just too cheap to pay logo designers, so there.

How do I share my photos?
It’s super easy, mate. Just add #Ausquerry or #wunderlustAusquerry to your photos and ” The Roo ”  would come for your images or video; Index,  and queue them up for a feature . You can also tag the with @Australia.

Due to volume of pictures we receive, this might take a while  but keep tagging “The Roo”  would share them sooner or later.

Do @Ausquerry gets to use my photo else where ?
No we don’t. And wouldn’t use them  on @ausquerry  instagram without notifying you first hand. ” The Roo”  respects copy rights.

Do you post only travel pictures?
No, we also share contents on design, art  and architecture. More for you.

My photos got rejected. What’s wrong ?
We think you have got great smile and  an amazing beach body, but other travellers wouldn’t be that nice to your pictures. They want some different; to experience cultures, see artwork, drool at designs, compliment architectures and wish for amazing  new destinations which your beach wears wouldn’t accomplish.

So unless you are a beachwear designer, or on Mount Wellington ( would be surreal *wink wink*)  or snorkelling around the barrier reef. It’s no good.

How do you select the photos you feature?
Photos are selected based on quality: pixel  and rarity of the shot taken and also we’ll always give credit to the photographer or videographer in our posts. So just another picture of the habour bridge wouldn’t be featured. You have to make it special.

You don’t need to be a professional, artist or designer. But remember, the team here will always check what else our followers will see if they click through to your profile.

What would increase my chances of being featured on your account?
Unfortunately nothing. Photos are pulled randomly from preselected offerings from the tag basket everyday. And the team had to debate on which to put to share online, As We want to keep it open  and creative, hence no in-house regulations. Find special, and Just keep tagging.

I think my selfie is quite good. Can you use it?
No we wouldn’t. It’s not that we don’t think you’re cute, it’s just that we like to feature contents which our followers would love to take home or visit someday.

You post 24 hours a day, do you ever sleep?
We do, but promoting arts, design, culture and travel in and around Australia is a very non-easy job indeed, even for a real person. But  “The Roo” is capable. Our secret is, most of the posting are planned, chosen and automated.

Is your posts regulated, and what times do you post in a day?
5am for the Southern coast of Australia ( Tasmania, NSW, Victoria). 8am for the most of the North and 9pm for all of Australia.

What do you ( the team)  do when not posting?
walk babies , work the dogs, hike or just stroll around the city. it’s fun. You should try is sometime.

Are you friends with Thor?
