Things people who love food too well will understand.

Food. One of great pleasures of life. Cakes and cupcakes, pizzas and hamburgers, soups and stews, croissants and creme brulee (my personal favourite), and many many more sweet and savoury dishes make our life so much more satisfying and wonderful! Lingvistov has been drawing funny comics and illustrations with food jokes for a long time and have chosen their favourite ones for this post to make all of your foodies there smile!

If you love food (and who doesn’t, really?), you’ll love these Lingvistov illustrations. There’s humour in everything and food is no exception!

Photographer Uses 160-Year-Old Camera To Take amazing Portraits

Giles Clement is an old fashion  photographer who likes to take his pictures n a unique way. Based in Nashville-This US photographer specializes in  eerily portraits using an antic camera of the  1800s. Citing his website;

“My tintype images are created using equipment made more than 160 years ago, from an era when cameras were made by craftsmen in small shops and lenses were designed using slide rules, experience and feel. The inherent flaws of these instruments lend themselves perfectly to my view of a beautifully imperfect world.”

He uses both the tintype and ambrotype styles of photography ; techniques popular in the early 1860s. They are true work of art as seen below.

You could for a photo of you or two, or for the family. His works are comparable to 18002 paintings. Be sure to visit his website for more information.

Lion cats: Artist represents Cats as Lions and got beautiful results

photographer Robert Sijka plays artist with the Maine Coons – the largest domesticated breed of cats in the world. They are the closest you can get to owning a docile wild animal look a like.

Quoting his website:

My passion is photography and animals. Especially cats, they fascinate me the most, they are mysterious and dignified.
My journey with cats photography began few years ago when my wife started to breed Maine Coons.
Being around the cats and photographing them gives me a lot of joy. I spent a lot of time perfecting my skills in capturing the beauty of cats. My goal is to show different expressions and emotions flowing from the cat’s eyes. I prefer to use a simple background and light setting which complements the cat, nothing else.
In my photographs I follow Albert Einstein’s maxim.
” Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler

The pictures are truly majestic, almost liking feral, cute still. You can checkout his works below.

San Diego Comic Con: Game of thrones

TV shows has become an integral part of San Diego com-con, the annual pop culture convention saw more than 200,000 attendees descended on the San Diego Convention Center this year, with shows filing up to fill their panel with favorite characters.

And the Game of thrones was no exception. It made a sixth appearance on the panel on Saturday. The list of panelists included the regulars, producers  DB Weiss and David with some of the show’s leads which included: Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) ,Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton ), Liam Cunningham (Davos) and  Kristian Nairn (Hodor).

One topic which was tossed around a lot was the ultimate ending to the series. When asked by the moderator who they wish to see on the Iron throne. Sophie drew some boos from the crowd by suggesting lord Baelish. Kristian who already had the affection of the audience , because he held the door, suggested Brianne of Tarth; due to her honor and duty. And that comment got him more love. The best answer of the evening came from Liam, who wants to see a white walker with a Cuban cigar on the throne.

The convention continues today,to prepare you for the 2016 show,  taking place July 21-24, Ausquerry will be keeping track of all the television-related screenings and panels and sending back pictures too. Bookmark this page to stay up to date as the networks and studios set their schedules for the event.
